ASACP Attends Internext Expo and AEE in Las Vegas

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its return to the Adult Entertainment Expo and Internext Expo events in Las Vegas.

According to its promoters, Internext Expo meets the growing demands of a changing adult entertainment industry by providing seminars, networking sessions, executive dinners and other opportunities for operators to interact. The B2B-focused Internext Expo is immediately followed by sister events Adult Entertainment Expo and the Adult Novelty Expo, along with the annual AVN Awards, which are open to the public and attract fans from around the world.

The annual event series began on January 17 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, where ASACP’s Executive Director, Tim Henning, represented the association.

“For ASACP, attending the Adult Entertainment Expo and Internext Expos allows us to reach both the consumers and producers of adult entertainment, providing an unparalleled chance to make a difference in online child safety,” Henning explains. “This is a unique opportunity for raising awareness of the vulnerability of today’s digitally connected youth and for conveying how media companies can protect themselves by protecting children from exposure to age-inappropriate material online.”

One aspect of this protection involves educating parents and adult website owners about the benefits of free the Restricted To Adults (RTA) website labeling system, which works with all modern browsing software to identify and proactively block access to adult-oriented websites.

“RTA is one of the most effective tools for protecting children online and ASACP is proud to promote this technology, which was developed through the support of our sponsors,” Henning explains. “RTA is free and easy for website owners to implement, and makes a difference in the lives of children while allowing their parents to access the legal material of their choice.”

ASACP was promoted at these events via an advertisement in the show guide along with flyers in the shows’ gift bags, a table at the Meet Market and sponsor level banner placement, all courtesy of AEE / Internext Expo and its sponsors. In addition, the promoters of AEE and Internext Expo helped to underwrite Henning’s attendance, through complimentary admission and by covering two nights of his hotel stay in Las Vegas.
